About Jeffrey Kaplowitz

My name is Jeff Kaplowitz I specialize in Commercial Real Estate. I was born and raised in Jersey City. I received a BA in Business Administration from Rutgers University and an MBA in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I have kept up with continuing education in real estate concentrating on commercial real estate courses. I spend a number of years in the New York City business world in public and private accounting positions. I also spend some time on the Trading floor of the New York Mercantile Exchange in the energy futures market. I started my real estate career in 1987 with Bardack Realty and joined C21 Plaza in 1998. In 2019 I joined Liberty Realty under the Skolar Group doing commercial and residential real estate. I have grown to become an expert in commercial real estate as a seller/landlord agent, buyer/tenant agent, and consultant on all kinds of real estate transactions. I have been a community activist for a great deal of my adult life and I was an advocate for Jersey City way before it was fashionable to be in Jersey City.  I have serviced the community on non-profit and advisory boards such as The Liberty Board of Realtors, Hudson Community Enterprises, Jersey City, Bayonne & Hoboken Jewish Family Counseling Services, the Jersey City Planning Board, Jersey City Environmental Commission, the Hudson County District IV Attorney Ethics Committee and the New Jersey Transit Advisory Committee on Hudson/Bergen Light Rail Transit. I have used my experience to help out various neighborhood groups throughout Jersey City when it comes to real estate matters and land use issues. I strongly believe that being in the real estate business is much more than just the property. In order to get to a closing table, one must understand the relationship between the property and its potential to the surrounding neighborhood. One must understand and anticipate problems and how to deal with them when they come up during a transaction. I try to understand the needs and wants of all parties to the transaction so we can agree on the terms of the deal to get to the closing table. But business is not all there is too life family and friends are the center of my personal life with interests that include photography, hiking, and backpacking, cooking and science fiction. If you have any questions on commercial real estate please contact me, I would be happy to serve you in the most professional and profitable way.
